APS Type 1 Symposium has partnered with Super Shuttle, an airport shuttle company, to provide safe and easy transportation services from any of the four New York Metropolitan area (New York John F. Kennedy Airport, Laguardia Airport, Newark Airport and Long Island/Islip MacArthur Airport) to one of two hotels for visitors.

You will be asked to choose a service after you input your flight information. There are two types of service you can choose from: 

• Discounted Shared Van Service --  

  • Van Service rates are as follows.  However, If you are arriving to one of the airports and share the van service with another symposium attendee, you are qualified for a discounted pro-rated rate for shared van service with Super Shuttle.

    • Shared Van Service from: 

      • JFK - $65.18 including tax

      • LGA - $65.18 including tax

      • EWR - $192. 73 including tax

      • ISP - $40.19 including tax

There are various transportation options from the airports to SBU including taxi or train. However, there have been situations where individuals have been significantly overcharged by other transportation methods. SuperShuttle is the safest and easiest way to travel to campus. We strongly encourage you to purchase and make a reservation with SuperShuttle. It will be to your advantage to utilize this service as individuals who make reservations with SuperShuttle will be dropped off at the the Holiday Inn Express Hotel entrance or the Hilton Garden Inn entrance .
